God's Great Mercy

Last weekend was such a blessing. On Friday I went to my grandson Johnathan's 8th grade graduation. We traveled to Freeport, Illinois.

On Saturday I went to a baby shower. It was amusing because the couple has a grandchild and their youngest is in high school. To see them oogling baby clothes was something to see. God bless you Jerome and Gwen.

On Sunday I taught the Adult Enrichment class at New Zion Christian Fellowship in Dolton, IL and it was wonderful. I'm so thankful to God for how the Holy Spirit moved.

My husband Rev. Bob brought the message for Sunday Worship and it was so wonderful. He taught from Jonah. What a blessings. I am so proud to be married to a man of God who continues to grow in the word and his faith. I am thankful to be married to a man for 30 years and still be in love with him. I look at him sometimes and say to myself, "Lord I am a blessed woman." I have a handsome, loving and strong man who is not a wimp but is a soldier for the Lord.

My husband did not march in the 60's or 70's. He went to the Navy as a very young man. He grew up in a wonderful family with a hard working father and a loving but sickly stay at home mother. As a middle child he struggled for attention and though he was extremely smart he wanted to fit in so he made some poor choices.

What a blessing to know that God can take us even with our poor choices and make us brand new. I am a blessed woman and I praise God for all the blessings he provides for me.
